The former of German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder will marry for the fifth times

News24xx.com -  Former of German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder will marry a South Korean woman. It will be the fifth marriage for the 73-year-old man after his fourth marriage ended in a divorce.

In a press conference in Seoul, South Korea today, Schroeder announced that he would marry Kim So-Yeon, 47 years old, in this year.

"I've met her family," Schroeder said in front of reporters as reported by AFP news agency, on Thursday, January 25 2018. At the press conference, Schroeder and his future wife appeared very intimate with a happy smile on both faces.

"The time of our marriage will held in autumn and about the exact place and the time will be decided later," Schroeder added.

Kim is Seoul's representative for the Economic Development Board of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, in Germany and has worked as a Korean language translator for Schroeder.

Schroder has been divorced from his fourth wife, Doris Schroeder Kopf in 2016. Some parties mention that the relationship between Schroder and Kim, gives bad affects and makes the couple who have been married for 19 years decided to divorce.

Even, Kopf gives her commented on Facebook that their divorce was due to the Korean woman, last year.

But in press conference that held on Thursday, Schroeder insists that Kim has not the cause of their (Schroeder and Kopt) to divorce. Even according to him, before they officially divorced from Kopf, they have been sleeping in separate rooms for years.

Kim has divorced from her husband and has had a daughter. While Schroder has two children from his marriage with Kopf.

Schroeder served as Chancellor of Germany from 1998 to 2005.
