Not satisfied with the result of plastic surgery, this woman sues a hospital to get compensation

News24xx.com -  Nanyang Siang Pau reports that a woman from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, sued plastic surgery center in Taiwan for using a soft bone from a body donor to implant her nose.

She reportedly found some problems with her nose after plastic surgery and decided to seek treatment from other plastic surgeons at different hospitals. It was then that he discovered that the soft bones used for his implants probably came from donated bodies for medical education, research and training.

 

Angered by this shocking discovery, he filed a lawsuit and asked for USD 25,000 in compensation. However, the court dismissed the case, as using the soft bone from the donors was legal in Taiwan and did not violate the law.

 

The court ruled in a case that involving major organ transplants such as liver and kidney, patients were asked to used it from their own family members. While for other donor organs, are usually obtained from body donors. This is a common practice in this country.

 

After deciding it, the court ordered the center of the operation to gives the compensate for the woman to pay all cost of that she spent to repair her nose at another hospital that amounted to USD 4 thousand.
