News24xx.com -  Gambia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs apologizes to Thailand for the statement of its Minister of Tourism and Culture, Hamat Bah. He mentioned Thailand as tourism destination for sex.

“Gambia regrets deeply for the comment made by the Minister of Tourism and Culture,” they said in a statement. They claimed that the statement did not really convey what Gambia was trying to say.

On a television program which aired on January 12, Bah said “We (Gambia) are not a place for sex. If you are looking for sex, go to Thailand.” That statement drew a lot of attention when a traveling site recorded it.
