BMKG : Fenomena day without shadow is a phenomena which happened routinely

News24xx.com -  Head of Central Data and Information Meteorology, Climatologi and Geophysics (BMKG) Station Pekanbaru Slamet Riyadi, said that fenomena day without shadow is a phenomena which happened routinely.

Exactly on 21 March 2018, the phenomena day without shadow, is caused by position of the sun will be sharply over the equator. Some regions in Indonesia will experience it, including in Riau regions which is locating around equator line.

This phenomena actually happened on the mid-day, where the sun position exactly is over the head. For some times, object that standing straight at Equator line  will be seen almost without shadow from the sun light.

Slamet Riyadi also said that this phenomena will also happen again on 23 September 2018. This is also because of the sun again will be locating on Equator line.

“Riau Province is locating at equator line, so on certain times, where the sun location isright over the head in its line, will be seen seemly that our shadow does not available” said he.

“The date 21 March, for a short duration, only at short moment, exactly at mid-day, around 12 hours afternoon. Position of the sun is over the head. Minimally, will be seen a little of our shadow” said he further.
