The oldest person in the world dies in Japan at age of 117 years and 260 days

News24xx.com -  As the world's oldest living person, Nabi Tajima got attention from people in the world. Because, the secret of her long live, being a good information for us. 

But now, the Japanese woman who held the title of the oldest person int the world wide for seven months has died.


Tajima  died at the age of 117 in a hospital on Saturday evening, April 21 2018 in the town of Kikai in southern Japan. Kikai is in Kagoshima prefecture on Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's four main islands. 


Tajima was born on August 4, 1900, making her exactly 117 years, 260 days old when she died. Tajima had seven sons and two daughters, who gave her more than 160 descendants. 


According information from the official of Kikai town, Susumu Yoshiyuki said, "Nabi Tajima having been hospitalized since January. And she died of old age".


In the past, Tajima is the third oldest person ever to have lived. In the first rank is Emma Martina Luigia Morano from Vercelli, Italy. She death at the age of 117. But, she death  in April 15 2017. Born on November 29, 1899, Morano was the last known person to die who was born in the 19th century.

And the second oldest person in the world is Violet Brown, a woman from Jamaica who also lived to the age of 117. And she death in September 2017.


Gerontology Research Group, a US-based company has now said that another Japanese woman, Chiyo Miyako, is the world's oldest living person in its records.

Yoshida lives south of Tokyo in Kanagawa prefecture, and is due to turn 117 in 10 days.
