At least ten students dead in Santa Fe High School shooting in Texas

News24xx.com -  Again, incident of high school shooting occured in the US.

At that time, one gunman opened fire at a Houston-area high school Friday, May 18 2018 around 8 am, local time. And he killing eight until ten people and most of them students.

The authorities said, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said he could not be precise about the number of deaths at Santa Fe High School. 

"And two suspects believed to be students were in custody now. And a school police officer was being treated at a hospital," he said.

Until now, the school district confirmed an unspecified number of injuries. And school officials said law enforcement officers were working to secure the building and move students to another location. And many students were being transported to another location to reunite with their parents.

Aerial footage showed students standing in a grassy field and three medical helicopters landing at the school in Santa Fe.

One student and also an eyewitness told to Houston television station KTRK, that a gunman came and started to shooting. 

"We thought it was a fire drill at first, after the teacher said, 'Start running'. And I  saw one girl with blood on her leg when the class evacuated,'' the student told.

Students escaped through a door at the back of the classroom.

It was the nation's deadliest school shooting since the February attack in Parkland, Florida, that killed 17 people and re-energized the gun-control movement after surviving teens launched a campaign for reform.

As information, Santa Fe is a calm city about 13,000 residents roughly 30 miles (48 kilometers) southeast of Houston.
