World smallest Al-Quran with the size of human adult thumb

News24xx.com - There is 3 x 2 cm Qur’an owned by a civilian in Binung District, West Sulawesi. It is kept and taken care of like one is taking care of jewelries made form finest gemstone.

The mini Qur’an is only taken out during important occasions, such as tadarus in Ramadhan month. The small words inside this Qur’an are written in gold ink.

“It is written with gold ink. The words are really small but it can be read just like regular Qur’an,” Asrul, the keeper, said, on Friday, May 25th 2018.

The Qur’an is said to exist since 18th century. It was inherited from a figure who spread Islam in Mandar, To Sulama in Labuang Padang, or known as Tuang Langarang. When he was still alive, he lived in Samasundu, Napo Village, Limboro District, Capital District Mandar.

The tiny Qur’an is kept by the generation of Tuang Langarang’s grandchildren. Right now, it is kept in Asrul’s house in Binuang District, Mandar. To keep it from being damaged, it is only taken out during certain occasions. Despite its small size, Asrul said he can still read the words.
