Four the most haunted hotels in India, very terrible and being famous for hauntings by the dead

And many people believed these incidents are believed to have been the cause of hauntings in a lot of places.

Not only in Indonesia, in another country such as India, it became home to some of the most mystery folklore. 

And India also known as a home to a lot of famous luxury hotels because untimely death of people in these properties has given rise to hauntings, making guests experience inexplicable events for years. 

Located in different parts of the country, these ‘haunted hotels in India’ have also attracted a lot of travellers who consider it an adventure to stay in one of these properties. 

And this is the list of the most haunted hotels in India :

1. Hotel Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai
The iconic Hotel Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai is believed to be haunted, because the hotel has been home to a lot of historical events including the terrorist attacks a few years back. 

According to the legends of this place, the hotel’s plan was originally designed by French architect W.A. Chambers. But when he returned from a trip to England, he was shocked to find that the construction of the hotel was not done according to his architectural plan. 

Chambers was so heartbroken that he committed suicide, jumping off from the fifth floor of the hotel. 

According to first hand reports of several people, including the hotel staff, the ghost of Chambers still walks around in the Old Wing of the property.

 

2. Hotel Savoy, Mussoorie
Hotel Savoy in Mussoorie was built way back in the year 1902 and is one of the oldest hotels in the region. 

In the year 1910, a guest named Lady Garnet Orme was found dead in one of the rooms of this hotel. It is the same incident that inspired one of the most popular murder mysteries by the queen of thrill named Agatha Christie. 

The lady was, supposedly, murdered in the hotel by adding strychnine to her medicines. Since then, it is believed that the hotel’s corridors and halls are haunted by the lady’s ghost. 

In fact, years later, the doctor who was looking after the lady was also found dead inside the hotel under similar circumstances. The guests staying in this hotel have reported a lot of unexplained sightings and events.

3. Hotel Raj Kiran, Lonavala
The paranormal activities in Lonavala’s Hotel Raj Kiran have earned it a place in the list of the most haunted hotels in the country. 

According to guests’ experiences, the hauntings have been reported from a room in a corner behind the reception side of this hotel. 

As per the experiences of guests who stayed in this room, the ghost that living in it forcefully pulled off the bed sheets when the guests were asleep. Some guests have also reported sightings of a ray of blue light when they woke up in the middle of the night. 

And now, the hotel management has stopped renting out the said room to guests.

 

4. Hotel Brij Raj Bhavan, Kota
Although it is one of the most beautiful heritage hotels in Rajasthan, Hotel Brij Raj Bhavan in Kota was build for 178 years old and was originally home to a royal family of Rajasthan. 

In 1980, the property was turned into a hotel. And the haunts in this hotel is the ghost of Major Burton, a British official, who stayed here with his family for 13 years before he was killed by Indian officials during the mutiny of 1857.

As per the sighting reports from this place, the ghost of Major Burton has been sighted walking in the corridors of the hotel. 

Besides, it has also been reported that the ghost slaps guards who fall asleep while on night duty.
