News24xx.com - Queen Elizabeth II really loves her animals. She is involved in the care of them, even when she is away and cannot be with them.

An episode of Countryfile, which is aired on BBC1, reveals that the queen uses an iPad hooked to the CCTV in her stables in Sandringham. With that, she can watch what happens to her horses. She can even watch her horses giving birth.

“The advantage of the CCTV is that once it’s happening I can also be on the phone at the same time explaining what’s going on and talking her through the process. They can be accessed in iPads, iPhones or televisions and these are on 24/7,” the manager of the Queen’s stables, David Somers said, as cited from Hello Magazine.

Ellie Harrison, the presenter of the show explored the Queen’s long love of horses during the episode. She also talked to the manager and the retired royal groom who worked for the monarch for over 30 years.

The Queen’s love for horses began when she was very young. She was given her first pony, a Shetland mare, by her grandfather King George V when she turned four.

“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is a life-long lover of horses who has inspired millions around the world,” said Princess Haya of Jordan, the president of International Equestrian Federation (FEI) as cited from Hello Magazine. She described the Queen as a “true horsewoman” who still rides her horses whenever the state business allows her to.
