BTS won Gaon Chart award for succeeding in selling its 1 million albums

News24xx.com - Bangtan Boys, or BTS, is a Korean boy group that has become more and more popular recently. Not only in South Korea, their popularity even reaches international stage.

As cited from Korea Portal, BTS once again made a new record in their album selling in United States. Their album which is titled Love Yourself: Tear succeeded in becoming the highest-selling album with foreign language (not English) in US.

Love Yourself: Tear has been sold out as many as 132 copies in US ever since its pre-order prior to its release on May 18th 2018. It is also included in the list of Top 10 Physical Albums.

Not only in US, BTS also made a record in their own country, South Korea. Gaon Chart gave them award of “Million Certification” for being able to sell more than one million copies of their album.

BTS becomes the first musician that receives such award from Gaon Chart. What they did really break the previous highest selling record in Gaon Chart history, being able to sell 1.664.041 copies in 14 days after the release on May 18th.
