News24xx.com - Northern Scotland will be home to the first commercial rocket launch site in the UK. The lure of the space business's earnings has prompted various countries to launch needed orbiting components. One of the countries that get into this business fortunes is the UK.

Launched from Bloomberg on Monday, they announced plans to build the first commercial vertical space shuttle launch station in North Scotland. The British space agency has revealed North Scotland to be a strategic geographic location to become the first launch station.

The reason, at this time most of the commercial launch comes from Florida and Guyana, France. These two locations are where NASA and the European Space Agency operate because of its proximity to the equator. The location near the equator offers easier access for satellites bound for geostationary orbit.

Parliament passed the Space Industry Act earlier this year, which aims to help the nation take advantage of growing commercial interest in space. Supporters say the effort will bring new jobs and billions of pounds into the UK economy.

The government also allocated 50 million pounds (about USD 66.2 million) to help the industry further. UK Space Agency chief executive Graham Turnock said it was committed to supporting the commercial market into space.
