An Indonesian girl has been jailed for having an abortion after her older brother raped her

News24xx.com -  Tragic, after being raped by her older brother, a 15-year-old Indonesian girl has been jailed for having an abortion.

Before, in May 2018, residents in Batanghari, Jambi discovered a headless fetus near a palm oil plantation. 

And the residents called the police and they made an investigation. It was revealed in court the girl was raped eight times since September 2017 by her older brother, 18 years old.

Singgih Hermawan, deputy chief of Batanghari police in Jambi province, says both the girl and brother were convicted on Thursday, July 19 2018. 

Prosecutors had demanded a one-year prison sentence for the girl and seven years for the brother. 

And she was sentenced to six months in prison on Thursday and received a two-year sentenced for sexual offences against a minor.
