Price of chicken meat is reaching IDR 35 thousand per Kilogram, DPP Pekanbaru waits for the instructions from the center

Data from the Industry and Trade Office (DPP) noted that the price of broiler chicken meat in Pekanbaru's traditional markets reached IDR 34 thousand per kg. And this has an impact on kampung chicken meat IDR 60 thousand per kg, chicken eggs IDR 1,700 per grain, and duck eggs IDR 3,000 per item.

Head of the Pekanbaru DPP, Ingot Ahmad Hutasuhut through the Head of the Division (Head of Trade) Juarman confirmed this. "The price increase cannot be avoided because the stock of chicken is limited and food prices are rising. So, the price of chicken meat is not falling down" said Juarman.

For solutions to handle the high price of chicken meat, Juarman convey his side there is no solution. "The last OP (market operation) of DPP in 2014 after that was never again. Meanwhile, for the stability of food prices there was the authority of the National Logistics Agency. The solution was to wait for instructions from the center" he said.

For now Juarman said it only monitors price fluctuations. "Our officers standby in six markets monitor every day" he said.

That's why Juarman expects traders not to take for one-sided, because of this price increase. "We ask traders not to look for opportunities in the midst of expensive meat and egg prices. Like playing prices, sorry for the community. Don't raise it" said Juarman.
