News24xx.com - This week, the film The Meg becomes popular in Indonesian cinemas. The Meg tells the story of a group of scientists who try to get rid of a giant shark in Pacific Ocean. The shark has been terrorizing the submarines in that area and disturbing the visitors of the beach.

Does the shark in the film really exist? It turns out it really did exist. Not today, but long time ago during the time of dinosaurs.

Megolodon shark, the shark which the film is inspired from, is an ancient shark that can grow to 18 meters in length. It is the largest shark that ever existed on Earth.

Most of Megalodon fossils that were found were aged 15 million years. The fossils are found in the form of teeth. Shark’s teeth keep falling off and growing again as it lives.

This shark is considered extinct. However, there are some people who believe that it still exists. The ocean covers 71 percent of the Earth. It is very wide and this huge shark may be hiding somewhere in it.
