News24xx.com - The city of Paris, France, has just made a new breakthrough by presenting an environmentally friendly public toilet on the roadside. But the presence of public toilets for urinating specifically for the man actually appalled the public, because it was designed to be open almost without any cover.

Reuters reported on Tuesday, August 14th 2018, the public toilet is on the edge of the Seine River in Ile Saint-Louis, not far from the Notre Dame cathedral.

Named Uritrottoir - a combination of French for urinals and sidewalks, the toilet building is the size of an adult's stomach and is made facing the river which is often traversed by tourist boats. Behind the shape that is almost without any cover, the toilet actually has an economical environmentally friendly concept.

Men can pee facing a box containing straw which will be processed for compost. Parisians immediately protested through a letter to the city government regarding the existence of the public toilet. They asked the city government to redesign the building to be more "decent".

In the letter sent, residents considered that the presence of public toilets was not polite and damaged historic sites in Paris. "There is no need to put something that is disrespectful and ugly in a historical place. Besides the most beautiful dwellings, the area is also the location of the Hotel de Lauzun where Baudelaire lives (French poet in the 19th century)" said a resident who is a Venetian art shop owner, Paola Pellizzari.
