News24xx.com - Films by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Imagine will be aired again in theaters. But the film that will air has been restored. Later, the film will be accompanied by new material and theme songs, but still retain old nuances.

The film, directed and produced by Lennon and Ono, illustrates the recording session of Imagine album (1971) in New York and England. In his film, Lennon interpreted every song he worked on with music producer Phil Spector. A number of famous musicians such as George Harrison, Fred Astaire, Andy Warhol and Jack Palance were also involved as guest stars.

"Imagine has been restored pieces by pictures of original scrolls and audio remixed by three Grammy winners, Paul Hicks," said a statement in a press release quoted from Ace Showbiz.

Revealed in the statement, the restoration version featured additional material in the form of a 15-minute program that had never been released before. It was Lennon's studio recording with George Harrison, Nicky Hopkins of the Rolling Stones, Alan White of Yes and Klaus Voormann performing the song How Do You Sleep? and Oh My Love.

Interestingly, audio sound will also be made more special with Dolby Atmos. It makes the audience feel like they are in the middle of the recording process. The newly restored film is planned to be released on September 17. In addition, on October 9, which was supposed to be 78-year-old Lennon, Ono will publish a 320-page book. He will detail the making of the Imagine album.
