Jim Carrey is back into Hollywood

News24xx.com - Actor and comedian Jim Carrey had 'disappeared' from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood when he decided to take a break a few years ago. Now he is back through a number of projects both film and television.

But in Carrey's statement to the Hollywood Reporter, he returned to the film industry with 'half-heartedness'. Even he is known to have new activities, drawing caricatures of political nuances.

"I just don't want to be in this business anymore," Carrey said, recalling his decision to take a break from the acting stage that raised his name. "I don't like what happened, [studio] companies took over and else" he continued.

"And maybe because [now] I feel attracted to other creative media and I really like the control of painting, not having a group of committees that tell me what ideas should appear on the screen" Carrey quipped.

Carrey last appeared on the big screen in 2016 through the drama Dark Crimes. But the film is only one of the few projects Carrey has taken in recent years.

In the last decade, Carrey was only involved in ten film projects. The last one released two years ago. Now Carrey is involved in the Sonic the Hedgehog film project which will be released in 2019 and a television show on HBO, Kidding.
