News24xx.com - Hollywood diva Kim Kardashian is married to rapper Kanye West, who is her third husband. Before the relationship with the current spouse, Kim Kardashian was married to basketball player Chris Humphreys, but their union lasted 72 days, after which the couple filed for divorce.

Chris recently announced that he is stopping his sports activities. In addition, he commented on his marriage with Kim Kardashian. According to Humphreys, he never wanted excessive publicity, and in relations with Kim it was impossible. This writes the magazine "People".

“When it became clear that nothing would come of it ... what can I say? It sucks”, - a former athlete recalls his 72-day marriage.

On March 27, Chris Humphries announced his retirement from the NBA and admitted how a very short marriage with Kim Kardashian in 2011 influenced his career. Chris still remembers his first match after his divorce with Kim, when he felt that he was perceived not as an athlete, but as Kim Kardashian’s husband.

"I met a girl who turned out to be very famous, and I got married and ... Damn, I had to know what I got involved in. I didn't realize how much my life would change. But one thing that really bothers me is when they say my marriage was not real", - says Chris.

In August 2011, the couple tied the knot, the wedding cost 10 million dollars and was broadcast on television. In just 72 days, they filed for divorce. However, Chris claims that their marriage was not fictitious.

The former basketball player said that he didn’t know how to cope with a divorce, because he never thought that he would become so famous. To recover after the incident, Chris was helped by work and family.

“I know that most people will always see me as that guy from television. I don’t want any pity. But I hope that real basketball fans remember me as a guy who always tried to present the game at its best light", - concluded Chris.
