Soldier in Pelalawan patrols the area as far as TNTN to prevent forest and land fires

News24xx.com -  The soldier of National Army from Military Rayon Command (Koramil) 04 Pangkalan Kuras, Pelalawan Regency, Chief Sergeant Samsul Wahidin patrols his working area routinely. He is accompanied by the officers of local police and the members of Community Care Fire (MPA).

“We patrol to prevent anyone from burning the forests and lands. As well as looking for the perpetrators who started the fire,” Samsul said.

Samsul said that the patrols are done based on the instruction from the Military Rayon Commander (Danramil) of 04 Pangkalan Kuras, Captain Infrantri Kasmir. During the patrol, they can be seen walking around the lands and the forest areas.

“We use two-wheelers to make it easier to go to the remote areas. Although the road is not in good condition, it has to go on with full spirit,” he said.

The patrol starts from the villages to as far as Tesso Nilo National Park (TNTN). Samsul warns civilians not to burn the lands and forests near TNTN.
