Meanwhile, for children aged 1 to 5 years there are 264 people affected by ARI, and for residents aged over 5 years as many as 847 people have ARI.

"In total, there were around 1,200 of our citizens who were stricken with ISPA, from September 1 to September 16 2019," Asril explained.

This daily disease report on the karlahut disaster was obtained by the Pelalawan Diskes from 14 Puskesmas across Pelalawan District. It is probable that the number of Pelalawan residents affected by ISPA is more than that number.

"Many residents are infected with ARI, seek treatment by buying drugs at pharmacies, or to the practice of doctors both general and specialist, who may not be included in this data," he concluded.
