News24xx.com - Gay couples who adopt HIV baby girls becomes a heartwarming viral story.

Damian Pighin, 42, and Ariel Vijarra, 39, are a gay couple who married in the northeastern province of Argentina, Santa Fe. They decided to expand their family in 2011.

After three years, they received a call about an HIV-positive newborn named Olivia in 2014 and they were given the opportunity to adopt.

At that time, Olivia had been rejected by 10 other couples because of her HIV, but her diagnosis did not stop Damian and Ariel from welcoming her to their homes with loving hands.

According to Unilad, the couple works for a non-governmental organization called Acunar Familias, which helps couples adopt unwanted children.

When meeting Ariel, he confessed to local media that he immediately felt a strong connection with Olivia.

After being treated by the gay couple, Olivia's 28-day-old health began to improve and gained weight.

Ariel explained that she responded very well to her HIV treatment.

A few years ago, the couple received good news that the virus was no longer detected in the system.

As per Avert.org, there is no known cure for HIV. However, treatment that is well undertaken can control HIV and allow sufferers to live long and healthy lives.
