35 Foreigners Killed in a Bus Accident in Saudi

News24xx.com - Thirty-five foreigners were killed and four others injured when a bus collided with another heavy vehicle near the Muslim holy city of Medina, Saudi states to media on Thursday.

The accident on Wednesday night, the collision happened between a private bus and a heavy vehicle near the western city.

The victims are Arab and Asian pilgrims. The injured were transferred to Al-Hamna Hospital.

The Okaz newspaper said that the victims were expatriates living in the kingdom and were making lower pilgrimages to Muslim shrines, which could be done throughout the year.

This year around 2.5 million faithful traveled to Saudi Arabia from around the world in August to take part in the annual pilgrimage pilgrimage - one of the five pillars of Islam.

Prince Faisal bin Salman, governor of the Medina region, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.

The nationality of the victims is unknown but Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sent condolences.
