Riau High Prosecutors Office Launched Animal Care Attorney Program at the Kuansing District Attorney

KUANSING - Chief of the Riau High Prosecutor's Office, Dr. Mia Amiati, SH, MH launched the Animal Care Prosecutors Program, located at the Kuantan Singingi District Attorney in Teluk Kuantan, Monday (02/10/2020).

The arrival of the Riau High Prosecutir entourage was immediately welcomed by Attoerney Kuansing along with all of his staff. Also present was the Regent of Kuansing, Drs. H. Mursini, M.Sc, Deputy Regent, H. Halim, Chair of the DPRD, Andi Putra, SH. MH, and all Forkopimda and officials in the Kuansing District Government.

Kejati Riau Dr. Mia Amiati, SH, MH in her remarks greatly appreciated the idea carried out by the Kejuan Kuansing, related to the Animal Care Prosecutors' Program. "We should appreciate this idea, with the hope that through this program, all related to efforts to conserve Natural Resources (SDA) can be realized, so that the equilibrium balance is maintained," she said.

"He also believes, if this socialization is well conveyed, it will be able to increase awareness and compliance in the community," she added.

While Kajari Kuansing, Hadiman, SH. MH said that the Animal Care Prosecutors' program began with a case of hunting protected animals, which they recently handled, namely the case of the death of a pregnant Sumatran tiger, because it was caught in a trap that was deliberately set, and the case of hunting hornbills.

"Learning from the two cases where the culprit has been convicted maximally by the Judge of the Kuansing District Court, Attorney Kuansing tried to make an effort to provide understanding to the public, regarding the presence of wildlife protected by the state, so that this incident no longer occurs in Kuansing," he said. For this program, he said, his side collaborated with WWF.

While the Regent of Kuansing, Drs. H. Mursini, M.Sc stated that the Kuansing Regency Government was very committed in protecting and preserving the environment.

"Kuansing Regency Government is ready to work in synergy with all parties in protecting the environment, so that in the future we will inherit our children and grandchildren well," he said. (R24 / Zar)
