Horrible! A 7-year-old Girl was Brutally Stabbed by a 30-year-old Woman in Playgrounds

News24xx.com - A seven-year-old girl was stabbed to death in a totally unreasonable attack when she went out to enjoy the spring sun with her family on Mother's Day.

Emergency services were called to Queen's Park in Bolton around 2:30 pm yesterday (22 March 2020), after reports of a young girl being attacked by a woman with a knife.

The seven-year-old girl suffered horrific wounds - believed to be on her neck - and died shortly thereafter despite efforts by paramedics.

A woman, 30, was detained by a member of the community immediately after the attack and was later arrested on suspicion of murder, said the Greater Manchester Police.

Police said the suspect was not recognized by the victim's family.

Witnesses reported seeing the young girl given CPR in the park when two adults stood 'covered in blood' nearby.

Russ Jackson, Assistant Chief of Police of the Greater Manchester Police, said "words cannot describe how bad this attack was" when he confirmed the incident in a statement.

Around ten police cars flocked to the park and the Northwest Air Ambulance was present at the scene.

"We are trying to understand the motives of this totally unclear and brutal attack. We understand that the woman has a history of mental illness and we are trying to understand if this plays a role in her motives. ", Russ Jackson explained.
