Amid Corona Virus Pandemic, M5.5 Earthquake Shakes Alor NTT, Indonesia

News24xx.com - An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 shook Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), Thursday (2 April 2020), at 09.13 a.m. The earthquake had no tsunami potential.

According to the analysis of the Meteorological Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake epicenter is located at the coordinates of 7.93 South Latitude (LS) and 125.62 East Longitude (BT).

The exact earthquake was 125 kilometers (km) from the northeast of Alor, NTT. While the depth of the earthquake is 10 km.

Until now there has been no report received by BMKG from the public regarding the impact of the earthquake which caused damage to buildings and fatalities.
